On Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7, Habitat for Humanity of St. Johns County (Habitat St. Johns) joins Habitat International affiliates around the world in hosting Women Build days. Female volunteers will work on houses being constructed in our Volusia Woods neighborhood on McDonald Avenue in West Augustine.
Thanks to this year’s sponsors–Ameris Bank, Florida Power & Light, and Publix Supermarkets–volunteers will receive a Women Build T-shirt and a catered lunch.
The build hours for both days are 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Habitat St. Johns provides tools and training. Four shifts are available: 8:00 – 12:00 and 11:00 – 3:00 on both days, with overlap at lunchtime for networking and tours of the model home. Participants will donate $40 to help cover the costs of building workforce housing but only need to pay once even if they work multiple shifts. Every gift furthers the mission of building homes, community, and hope.
